"OWB 1.1 for 68k amiga
Just wanted to let u know that there's an initial version of OWB web browser for 68k Amiga, here:
Although it's very limited at the moment, it's a GOOD NEWS nonetheless.
Please, if u're at all interested in it being further improved, show your appreciation by sending an email to the author (j_s AT gmx DOT de) !"
Having problems getting the file?
Or here ttp://t0ffest.net/~ag/OWB_m68k_1.1.lha
As much memory as possible! 68060 recommended. Or UAE with as much memory as possible configured.
Small pages should work with a lot of patience on real Amigas with
a 68060 CPU and at least 128 MB RAM.
It needs AmigaOS 3.0 or newer and GeekGadgets (ixemu.library,
ixnet.library and like most programs using ixemul probably at least a
minimal GeekGadget installation, i.e. the assigns, the zoneinfo and
other files in gg:etc/, ..., But It might work with only
ixemul.library and ixnet.library without the rest of GeekGadets).
The executable is compiled for 68020+ CPUs with FPU.
The main problem with the m68k version is that the libsdl port is too old and lacking many functions, openssl, etc, or completely missing (fontconfig, freetype2) libraries.
